Abstract
In this paper the maneuvering behavior of a fully appended submarine in the vertical planeanalyzed by means of combined use of a CFD solver and System Based Maneuvering based model. CFD is extremely useful for characterizing the submarine dynamic response in terms of hydrodynamic coefficients, whereas system based mathematical model is a fast tool for executing a free running, self-propelled, maneuver. Present approach can be very useful for analyzing submarine control system strategies adopted during critical operations, like rising and diving.File in questo prodotto:
