We present recent measurements of CILS spectra in mercury vapour, at different temperatures, in the frequency region of the dimer band (0-15 cm(-1)). The analysis of the experimental spectra, by comparison with classical calculations, including the dimers contribution, shows that such a precise measurement of the dimer band allows to discriminate between different potential models, without the necessity of modelling the pair polarizability.

Abstract
We present recent measurements of CILS spectra in mercury vapour, at different temperatures, in the frequency region of the dimer band (0-15 cm(-1)). The analysis of the experimental spectra, by comparison with classical calculations, including the dimers contribution, shows that such a precise measurement of the dimer band allows to discriminate between different potential models, without the necessity of modelling the pair polarizability.File in questo prodotto:
