Recently, electrophoretic analyses of waxy wheat proteins in several hexaploid and tetraploid wheat accessions, from worldwide collections, have permitted to identify new variants at the waxy Ioci, including partial null types. In this paper we present a preliminary note on the molecular characterisation of the new mutations identified.
