This paper presents the first results of a ten-year METAGRI project, implemented by WMO and its national partners in West Africa, to deliver weather and climate information and advisory services to effectively support farmer decision-making and risk management under a changing climate. Here the evaluation of the impacts of the METAGRI approach on farmers' behavior and crop productivity in 4 countries: Mauritania, Niger, Cote d'Ivoire and Ghana is reported.
