This paper presents a tool for visualization of meteorolog- ical data integrated in an application for management of a multi risk situation. As part of a much more complex and demanding visualization system, the tool was developed taking into account some constraints as the scarcity of screen space and processing power. Due to these limi- tations the tool was developed as web application optimized for mobile devices and is capable to present time series data in a compact and effec- tive visualization. The tool also can process the available data in order to detect exceptional events and to put them in the contest allowing a very fast visual analysis.

Abstract

This paper presents a tool for visualization of meteorolog- ical data integrated in an application for management of a multi risk situation. As part of a much more complex and demanding visualization system, the tool was developed taking into account some constraints as the scarcity of screen space and processing power. Due to these limi- tations the tool was developed as web application optimized for mobile devices and is capable to present time series data in a compact and effec- tive visualization. The tool also can process the available data in order to detect exceptional events and to put them in the contest allowing a very fast visual analysis.
