Abstract

IoT and cloud represent the breakthrough for mak- ing concrete the envisioned scenarios for Smart Environments and specifically, those scenarios devoted to the human well-being. Under this respect, we propose a system focused on the quality of the environments where employees work with particular attention to the energy consumption. We describe a long-term monitoring system together with the Stigma algorithm designed to detect the presence or the absence of a worker by exploiting sensing information.
