Le Età del Bronzo Tardo e del Ferro ad Arslantepe. Una panoramica sulla sequenza ceramica attraverso le più recenti attività di ricerca sul sito

The paper aims to overview the main characteristics of the Late Bronze-Iron Age pottery sequence brought to light at Arslantepe. During the last campaigns new excavations have been carried out in order to investigate the Neo-Hittite levels. An interesting sequence representative of the Early/Middle Iron Ages has been retrieved from these layers. After a summary on the history of the investigations on Hittite and Post-Hittite levels at Arslantepe, the pottery inventories coming from these new excavations will be shown and will be also compared with the Late Bronze Age assemblages excavated on the site. Through this comparison the development of the Late Bronze-Iron Age ceramic sequence will be illustrated in order to define the role of Arslantepe in connection with the increasing of the central Anatolian influences and with the following advent of the Neo- Hittite kingdoms
