On the occasion of the 5th International Conference on Metrology for Archaeology and Cultural Heritage, held in Florence under the initiative of the University of Florence and the University of Sannio, a special session was organised by the Institute for Heritage Science of the Italian National Research Council. The session was dedicated to the interaction between logic and computing as a benchmark in the history of computer applications in archaeology, a topic closely related to the Conference aims.
