This poster aims to suggest, on the basis of a state-of-art of indicators and metrics recommended worldwide for ambient air monitoring and considering scientific knowledge, potential and suitable metrics for monitoring and assessing ambient air mercury concentrations and for informing decision-makers in the framework of the Minamata Convention. Considering the provisions and objectives of the Convention, an attempt will be made, in particular, to respond to simple questions as: Why monitor? What are the most suitable compounds and which key measures are to be considered when assessing trends? Where is possible to monitor and how can be assessed trends? An attempt will be made to link environmental metrics more closely to economic and social information systems and to sustainability issues established at international levels.

Abstract
An attempt will be made to link environmental metrics more closely to economic and social information systems and to sustainability issues established at international levels.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
