Abstract

A subject of wide interest in the physical and life sciences is the noninvasive characterization of microscopic objects within a complex heterogeneous system. In this paper, multiplex stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) is used to investigate complicated biological samples for which calibration of individual components is not easily available. The separation of protein and lipid contribute and the mapping of their simultaneous distributions in single cell achieved by SRS imaging is demonstrated.
