In the present paper some numerical simulations and experiments, performed to investigate jet-well interaction in shallow waters, are described. The motivations of the work are basically related to the environmental effects of marine structures. Numerical computations were carried out by a shallow water equations finite difference solver, whereas the experiments were performed in a shallow tank, obtaining the flow pattern by a PTV technique. As a result, the comparison between numercial sloutions and experimental data points out meaningful agreement.
