A crucial issue in the scheduled maintenance is the correct planning of the interventions. The aim of this activity is to prove the effectiveness and usefulness of portable Fourier Transform Infrared (FT-IR) reflectance instrument in monitoring the durability and chemical stability of conservation treatments (consolidant and protective) of archeological stone surfaces for the definition of intervention thresholds.

Abstract
