MycoKey's aim was to create and increase awareness of mycotoxins, toxigenic fungi and food safety in general, and specifically: a) To maximize the relevance, outcomes and impact of MycoKey's actions to the public, providing information and scientific dissemination; b) To consolidate a productive partnership to enhance the EU-China dialogue; c) To encourage and facilitate the participation of stakeholders, communities and end-users on the use of MycoKey-developed tools; d) To strengthen international networking and scientific cooperation on food safety. Integrated communication actions have been dispersed by the whole Consortium on a continent-wide scale to enhance the impact with specific emphasis on dissemination of results to end-users, citizens, academics, consumer organizations, industry and policy makers.

Additionally, face-to-face, focused meeting opportunities among partners and stakeholders were organized to share state-of-the-art information, to maintain relationships and partnerships, and to present results, methods, solutions and their applications to important stakeholders of different food sectors in the EU.
