Analysis of Italian case law on the crime of association for the purpose of international terrorism, in the light of the adaptation of the domestic legal system to the applicable international customary and conventional rules. The work illustrates the evolution of intepretive criteria, which emerges, most in particular, from the jurisprudence of the Supreme Court of Cassation concerning affiliation to the so-called Islamic State by terrorists not having evident or consolidated links with the IS apical members, and operating in Italy.

Abstract
