This article introduces the first part of the census of the manuscripts of Petrarch's Latin works in the Fondo Nazionale of the « Vittorio Emanuele III » Library (Naples). Many of them come from the Fondo Farnese, which arrived in Naples in 1736, and from the collection of the monastery of S. Giovanni in Carbonara. Some manuscripts bring copies of Petrarch's own annotations; they are all from the collection of the humanist Giano Parrasio.
