The SAGAcE (Sistema Avanzato diMonitoraGgio AmbiEntale- ADVANCEDENVIRONMENTAL MONITORING SYSTEM)project which has as its main objective theenvironmental monitoring of water, air and soil. Toknow the state of the environment with objective data,it is advisable to create detection systems locatedthroughout the territory, which periodically acquire aseries of specific parameters for the mainenvironmental matrices (air, water and soil), or whichallow, if necessary, a punctual detection, throughspecific missions, of the quantity of pollutants in largeareas and with low costs. With these systems it ispossible to define the safety conditions of the areas inquestion, controlling and preventing the pollutionfactors in order to comply with current regulations.The state of the environment has an importantinfluence on the state of conservation of archaeologicaland monumental assets. In this work some of theresults of the project are presented.
