One of the main issues in today's industrial and fundamental research is the comparison of huge data sets of different origin, e.g. `CFD-RANS models need to be calibrated against experimental data acquired by stereo-PIV, or CFD-simulations by different teams need to be compared'. Further, it is still a challenge to extract the desired hydrodynamic parameters from the data in a purposeful and efficient way. The objectives of the Joint Research Program Flow data analysis and visualization are: o To be able to optimize the quality and the efficiency of analysis of huge flow data sets o To be able to optimize the use of experimental flow data sets for validation or calibration of numerical tools This poster presents the first results of this Joint Research Program.

Abstract
One of the main issues in today's industrial and fundamental research is the comparison of huge data sets of different origin, e.g. `CFD-RANS models need to be calibrated against experimental data acquired by stereo-PIV, or CFD-simulations by different teams need to be compared'. Further, it is still a challenge to extract the desired hydrodynamic parameters from the data in a purposeful and efficient way. The objectives of the Joint Research Program Flow data analysis and visualization are: o To be able to optimize the quality and the efficiency of analysis of huge flow data sets o To be able to optimize the use of experimental flow data sets for validation or calibration of numerical tools This poster presents the first results of this Joint Research Program.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
