Bioinspired Functional Materials for Biomedical Applications

The special issue belongs to the section "Materials Science".it will be overview the major challenges and fundamental discoveries on bioinspired functional matherials, whose structure, properties or function mimic those of natural materials or living matter. Particular attention will be devoted to the efforts under way to exploit the functional properties of new bioderived, biomimetic, biodegradable and biocompatible materials.
