In recent years, the Direct Broadcasting Satellite (DBS) system has induced the widespread use of dish installations in Italy, even in ancient cities and in areas of particular value. In many cases, they have compromised the beauty of the buildings and in some cities the uncontrolled installation of such antennas has been forbidden. This letter suggests an answer to this problem, as it proposes a low-cost solution which makes the antenna integration with the existing environment easier. An example is presented, where the proposed configuration, consisting of a tailor-made offset reflector, has been used to realize a vertical sundial. The antenna radiation patterns and the electrical characteristics are also reported.
