The project has been the result of the sharing among the various stakeholders. This activity has involved a great number of stakeholders from 26 Day Centres in Rome and has aimed to the implementation of process related to quality, organization, social representations, planning activities, training. This paper describes the phases of the project and shows some features, such as the involvement of staffs and managers in the research; the changes in the activities of the Day Centres; the re-definition of the role and of the mission of the Local Authority. It also suggests some methodological reflections.
