This study presents a learning experience based on the application of an AI chatbot (ChatGPT) to introduce first-degree students of a business faculty to some topics of behavioral economics. A protocol to guide the interaction between students and AI in three economic games was designed. Interaction between students and the ChatGPT on this topic allows students to explore the differences and similarities between their decisions and those of the machine when those decisions depend on underlying ethical principles. The experience has enabled students to comprehend the factors influencing AI responses, the importance of focusing on the prompt, the value of viewing AI as a supportive tool rather than a solution, the potential pitfalls of anthropomorphism, and the opacity and emotion lessness associated with interactions with AI systems. ChatGPT shows decisions that seem to respond to ethical principles, as equity, fairness, altruism, and cooperation. The students show a minor social preference
