Hacia una taxonomía integrada en la redacción y revisión de diccionarios históricos

This article presents the results of work on a conceptual taxonomy for historical lexicography aimed to supporting the redaction and the revision of the Real Academia Española's Nuevo Diccionario Histórico del Español (NDHE) and of the Tesoro della Lingua Italiana delle Origini (TLIO). We describe the methodology that was used to model a semantic hierarchy applicable to the contents of both dictionaries and the most interesting results derived from it. We have chosen to focus our investigation on the semantic field of health and disease – a vocabulary with entries belonging mainly to the fields of medicine, veterinary medicine and pharmacopoeia – the object of the experimental construction of an ontology (called DHistOntology) shared by the NDHE and the TLIO.
