Abstract

The new needs of society, today so very attentive to physical well-being and the serenity of soul and spirit, brought important changes in the use forms of leisure and the territory, as in the case of some religious sites. Once pilgrimage destinations, now they have become stages or destinations of paths and tourist-cultural itineraries with a religious theme. They could constitute, even in Sardinia, the new levers for the socio-economic development of the territories crossed, in particular for the inland and marginal areas.
