A brief discussion introduces the regulatory path that led to the mapping project of the asbestos-cement (a-c) roofs in the Lazio Region as provided by Law 257/1992 and by the D.M. 101/2003. Here we have analyzed both results achieved and those not, through the use of remote sensing from aircraft/ drone /satellite and we have highlighted strengths and weaknesses of those technologies. A detailed estimate of the presence of c-a by 2020 is provided in order to quantify on-site residuals and in this way we are able to evaluate the landfills that can accommodate it by integrating remote sensing data and data pursuant to art. 9 L. 257.
