By analyzing a sample of hypertexts on the Web which were developed by European schools (from primary to high schools), it has been found that most of them are the result of a simple technical exercise, thus dramatically reducing the educational potential of the hypertext paradigm. This fact shows that most of the teacherers are trained in the technical aspects of hypertext more than in the pedagogica1 and methodological ones, thus limiting the raising of awareness of the effective potential of hiypertexts. To make things worse, training based on technical issues risk reducing the involvement of teachers who are skeptical about technologies in general. In this paper some specific strategies adopted in order to train both iiew and experienced teacliers are reported.

Abstract
By analyzing a sample of hypertexts on the Web which were developed by European schools (from primary to high schools), it has been found that most of them are the result of a simple technical exercise, thus dramatically reducing the educational potential of the hypertext paradigm. This fact shows that most of the teacherers are trained in the technical aspects of hypertext more than in the pedagogica1 and methodological ones, thus limiting the raising of awareness of the effective potential of hiypertexts. To make things worse, training based on technical issues risk reducing the involvement of teachers who are skeptical about technologies in general. In this paper some specific strategies adopted in order to train both iiew and experienced teacliers are reported.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
