This article proposes an advancement of an already existing software application called COL (Online Building Yard, "Cantiere On Line" in italian), that allows the management of electronic site documentation exchanged between the actors involved in the building process. The advancement consists of a Task Management System, realized through a three-levels network of software environments for the meta-design., design and execution of a Workflow Management System. The resulting WMS implements the identified building yard workflow i.e., the sequence of activities that need to be carried out during the design and the realization of a building. In this paper we focus on the software environment at design level, called TMS Editor and used by Workflow Designers to visually compose the desired workflow. The article closes with some considerations about the system's future developments.
