This paper investigates Self-Regulated Learning (SRL) in a virtual community interacting through asynchronous textual communication. The community consisted of the trainee teachers and the tutors of a post-graduate course in Educational Technology, adopting a socio-constructivist approach to favour the development of SRL competence besides the acquisition of content knowledge.
