Il MOP compie 10 anni, prospettive e sviluppi

We describe the results of the Project MOP (Meta Opac Pisano) after 10 years of activity. The Project began in 2003 with the involvement of the University of Pisa, Scuola Normale Superiore of Pisa, Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna of Pisa and National Council of Research of Pisa. Today 30 libraries are involved in the project. The MOP provides access to the catalogs of the whole territory of Pisa. It has been created an infrastructure with a common user interface integrating the access to multiple OPAC via the web.

Il Meta Opac Pisano (MOP) è operativo da 10 anni. Il Progetto ha avuto inizio nel 2003 con il coinvolgimento dell'Università di Pisa, della Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa, della Scuola Superiore S'Anna di Pisa e dell'Area della Ricerca del CNR di Pisa. Oggi conta 30 strutture bibliotecarie e dà accesso ai cataloghi di tutto il territorio pisano. Ha realizzato una infrastruttura software e un servizio che, ancora oggi, svolge egregiamente la funzione di interfaccia unica per l'accesso integrato a più OPAC via web. E' il punto di accesso più richiesto della realtà bibliotecaria pisana.
