Deliverable D38 - D8.3 : Insights from MycoKey International conferences and Workshops

This Deliverable aims to illustrate two important aspects of the MycoKey project dissemination. The first aspect is the organization of the MycoKey International Conferences, the results and the feed-back obtained by the organization of such Conferences among scientific community and stakeholders at worldwide level. The topics on which the 3 Conferences have been focused are all key issues for the mitigation of mycotoxins in food and feed and have been studied in deep details along the Project. Moreover, the origins of the participants to the Conferences has been extremely wide and all continents have been represented. This has triggered strong opportunities for International Networking of MycoKey Consortium. The second aspect is the organization of Technological Workshops on more focused topics and for smaller groups of participants compared the International Conferences. The Workshops were useful for addressing young professionals, researchers, farmers to focus on novel solutions and their practical application for mycotoxins reduction in the field and during processing. The Workshops were carried out in Helsinki, Bucharest, Bari and in Zurich and were characterized by a high number of both applicants and countries of origin. The participation of international speakers belonging to MycoKey partners and supporting partners, including scientific societies and institutions, has been a key activity for MycoKey scientific content dissemination among several actors of the mycotoxins "community" (scientists, students, farmers, stakeholders).
