The use of Scheduling techniques is usually limited to the resolution of complex optimization problems. This article shows how, in the context of the ROBOCARE Project, a state-of-the-art constraint-based Scheduling tool is orthogonally employed to monitor the daily activities of elderly and/or impaired people directly in their homes. This work shows how this objective requires an effective integration among domain modeling, problem solving, and execution monitoring services.

Abstract
The use of Scheduling techniques is usually limited to the resolution of complex optimization problems. This article shows how, in the context of the ROBOCARE Project, a state-of-the-art constraint-based Scheduling tool is orthogonally employed to monitor the daily activities of elderly and/or impaired people directly in their homes. This work shows how this objective requires an effective integration among domain modeling, problem solving, and execution monitoring services.File in questo prodotto:
