Groupware systems are increasingly embedded in our everyday life, both at the office and at home. Thus groupware systems should offer easy interaction for all, including the differently-abled. In this paper we describe the design and implementation of a modified version of Google Docs (http://docs.google.com) interfaces for collaborative editing of documents. Although consisting of only a few Web pages (login, document list, text editing) this modified version shows how it would be possible to enhance interaction via screen reader and voice synthesizer with this popular groupware system, while maintaining its appealing "look&feel".

Abstract
Groupware systems are increasingly embedded in our everyday life, both at the office and at home. Thus groupware systems should offer easy interaction for all, including the differently-abled. In this paper we describe the design and implementation of a modified version of Google Docs (http://docs.google.com) interfaces for collaborative editing of documents. Although consisting of only a few Web pages (login, document list, text editing) this modified version shows how it would be possible to enhance interaction via screen reader and voice synthesizer with this popular groupware system, while maintaining its appealing "look&feel".File | Dimensione | Formato | |
