It is amodular, reconfigurable and sensorized staircase for the benchmaking of lower-limb exoskeletons. The inclination is redaly adjustable exploiting the kinematic schemeof parallelogram-based linkages. It is provided of integrated sensors and acquisition systems. The handrails are sensorized with 4 load cells (Phidget-Bridge 4-Input, Phidgets Inc., Canada), 2 for each handrail, to measure the forces applied by the user wearing the exoskeleton (e.g., a patient using one crutch and the sustain of a handrail) during the ascent or descent of the stairs. Two force plates (P-6000, BTS bioengineering, Italy) are available and can beinserted in any of the steps to measure the ground reaction forces. The provided software allows for synchronized acquistion of all sensors and the FreeEMG BTS-Bioengineering EMG acquisition systmem.
