The three pilot studies included in the proposal correspond to real industrial needs and they are representative of the two possible robot-human relationships in a given work without physical fences: ? Collaboration: both human and robot working collaboratively to achieve a given goal. ? Coexistence: both actors (robot and human) are conducting independent activities in the same work area. There two different categories of pilot studies: ? The first three pilots correspond to production industries (ALFA, WOLL and AEROT). They present real working scenarios with different relevant features for the proposal objectives: space sharing, collaboration, interaction need, etc. ? The fourth pilot study, besides offering challenging scenarios for human-robot collaboration, will be used as a living lab for experimenting with a big number of experimenters, mainly during the development process, in order to have statistically relevant data.
